Sustainability

Creating a sustainable future.

WJSFF is dedicated to preserving our planet by championing solution-based activists to keep our natural world healthy and driving attention to how we think and talk about environmental challenges.

In conjunction with Smith family performances and speaking engagements to discuss the green economy and climate change, WJSFF supports Prime, a charity that partners with philanthropists to invest charitable capital in companies that combat climate change, has helped us mobilize a nearly $40M pool of 100% philanthropic capital. This is not high-risk investing; rather, it is leveraged grant making to activate venture capital investment for the purpose of social good.

Program Spotlight:

The Water Box

In our continued effort to provide clean water to often overlooked communities, WJSFF has partnered with Latinx Flint and donated Water Box 4 to Flint & Genesee County Michigan, where the pipes still leak lead.

This water box, named in honor Jada Pinkett-Smith, produces ten gallons of filtered water a minute and includes instructions in both English and Spanish for the community.
